Same problem here. I have tried all the fixes suggested - multiple times now. Wasted SO much time on this! Still no solution. SO frustrating to not be able to mask or highlight anything.

Very same problem here, cannot complete my work.

    Windows 10 Home
    Processor    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor               3.40 GHz
    Installed RAM    128 GB
Storage    1.82 TB SSD Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB
Graphics Card    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (6 GB)

@Tomasz1986 @j.s38953115 Just to be clear, are you in beta?
We have made some changes in Beta that we hope will help with this issue, but it continues to be elusive.

Thanks for reporting with details on your system. Does the issue go away if you quit and re-launch? We continue to struggle to reproduce this in house but the investigation continues.

Well, BION it did!  I re-launched Premiere and the mask appeared normally without any other changes.  Oddly, I re-launched Premiere twice yesterday and yet masks refused to work.   It’s working for me now, sorry I can’t shed any light on this issue

A quick update on how to “fix” it on my end, is simply disable the rulers (view > uncheck “Show Rulers”). So silly, but at least now I know what im doing when creating a mask.

Can you please share what version you are using and more info on your system, specifically your GPU. Thanks!

Think you might have released this too soon with no usable option for masking? Not a good look for Adobe.

you can see my “soution” above, but basically dissabling the rulers, brings back the masking overlay.

We have been working on this issue but it has proven difficult to reproduce in-house. If you are experiencing this issue, please try 26.3 beta 51 or later and let us know if you still are experiencing issues.

Yes, besides the problem persisting, in BETA I can't even open the program preferences.
    This is the error:

When I try to use object masking, it doesn’t work. The lasso doesn’t work, and neither does the rectangle. Every other mask works, but I need the tracker because what I’m trying to mask is always moving. It was working fine last night, but now it’s like Premiere doesn’t even realize I’m using the tool at all. Everything is up to date

Same issue. Everything worked on the last video. Now it doesn’t. I’ve toggled guides/rulers/etc. I confirmed that the mask still works by dragging it to the Opacity Effect. But I have to guess what is being masked. SUPER FRUSTRATING 😢
