Mask selection is not showing on premiere 2026

I've been having the same problem for three versions now. I'm currently on 26.3.
It's really far away that the Adobe team is still treading water.

Can confirm I am having the same issue (also makes the resizing boxes and text selection invisible) and can also confirm that disabling the rulers is a workaround.

Been struggling with this for months now. Do we have ANY idea when this work-around will be either communicated to the community at large and/or resolved? I had to DIG to find this particular work-around.

I’m having the same issue with 26.3

I have tried the above, in addition to assigning it to a keyboard shortcut. using the shortcut does nothing. object selection mask is nowhere to be seen. 

I am having no luck with disabling rulers or restarting Premiere? The masks I create only show up when I have the effect tool open and click on the mask in there. The mask will then show up the first time I play it in the sequence, but then disappears again. 

Still no luck with masking- I’ve tried every solution offered here, short of going back to an old version of Premiere which I really don’t want to do. I need to send out a cut!!! When is Adobe going to fix this issue???

having the same issue still:  I’ve hot monitor scaling set to 100% and tried all other “fixes” _ My transform handles for shapes and text layers aren’t showing either.  All transform or mask outlines are invisible. restarting PP often fixes things but that is not a solution.

This makes the software unusable

Same problem here. I have tried all the fixes suggested - multiple times now. Wasted SO much time on this! Still no solution. SO frustrating to not be able to mask or highlight anything.

Nothing works, no ruler off, no restarting. I reinstalled Premiere, updated graphics card, checked all the common fixes.
