Premiere Pro Version: 26.5.2
Operating System: macOS Tahoe 26.5
Issue:
All camera angle previews in Multi-Camera View turn completely black during specific sections of the same multicam sequence, while other sections display normally.
The affected sections range from approximately 5 to 30 seconds.
Expected Result:
All available camera angles should display normally throughout the multicam sequence.
Actual Result:
-
All angle previews simultaneously turn black during certain time ranges.
-
Nine or more video clips are present and overlapping in some affected sections.
-
Disabling Multi-Camera View restores normal video display.
-
Switching camera angles still works.
-
Final exports are unaffected.
-
Other sections of the exact same multicam sequence display normally.
Troubleshooting Attempted:
-
Restarting Premiere Pro
-
Enabling and disabling Multi-Camera View
-
Enabling and disabling proxies
-
Reconnecting original media and proxies
-
Disabling and re-enabling clips
-
Testing the multicam source in a new sequence
-
Duplicating the multicam sequence
-
Temporarily applying and removing effects
-
Exporting affected sections (exports are normal)
None of these steps resolved the issue.
Media:
-
Original footage: 3840 × 2160, 29.97 fps
-
Proxies: ProRes Proxy, 960 × 540
-
Audio-synchronized multicam containing separately recorded takes
Impact:
This prevents me from viewing and comparing camera angles during affected sections, making multicam editing extremely difficult despite normal playback and export outside Multi-Camera View.
Please investigate and advise on a workaround.
I am suffering.. the edit is due tomorrow...
