multicam sequences Not importing into timeline

for some reason in PR 2024 I can no longer drag multicam sequences to the timeline and have it display the timeline, the first example in the video is PR 2022 and the second one is PR 2024, I toggled the overight and insert sequence button but could not get PR 2024 to do what I wanted, leaving me to have to open the sequence in the timeline and copy it over manually. sort of a minor issue but puzzled me for a while figuring out why it wasn’t going into the sequence the way I wanted.

There was a change in behavior to how multicams interact with the "Insert and overwrite sequences as nests or individual clip" setting. We did this because so many people had issues with using this feature for sequences, but forgetting to toggle it for multicams when they meant to insert the MC as a nest. Turns out there was a large group that still wants this to apply to multicams as well. So in 24.2.1 we put a pref in the timeline burger menu called Multi-camera Follows Nest Setting. That will allow you to return to the old behavior.
