My text disappears while entering Japanese on the type tool using Google Japanese Input

When typing Japanese on a computer, you input hiragana first, then swap them to kanji as you need.
This behavior is controlled by IME(Input Method Editor), and there are several IMEs for your preference.

It works just fine with Microsoft's default IME.
