Nesting Opens Up Project Panel

Hi all,

I noticed recently that whenever I nest a sequence, the project panel is opening up. It used to be that I could nest a sequence but it wouldn't tab me into the project panel (so  I could just easily click an effect to add to the nest). Is there a setting that I might have accidently toggled to make this happen? It's slowing my workflow down since I tend to use Nested Sequences a lot.

Thanks in advance!

@Matthew31658699ernj

What version are you using? I just tried it in 24.3 and the focus is still in the timeline panel, while I do get a nice highlight in the project panel.

Windows 23H2; PP 24.3

After 2 updates, still this bug that they introduced haven't been fixed in the 23.6 update. So frustrating.

Can we fix this please?!

Been having this happen to me too! Hopefully this can get fixed soon because it truly is a workflow disruptor.

This is still present in the new update 23.5

Please Adobe fix this thing that you broke with your recent updates.

Adobe please revert back to the default or original behaviour of this matter. It shouldn't open the project panel, I have to close it everytime or switch to another panel everytime I nest a clip.

Please Adobe.

Hi @RMMedia & @BeeDewEdits,

Thanks for reporting on the issue. I agree that it is not desirable. Let me ask the team about it. I hope to come back with an answer for you soon, but I may need to ask for your patience. I hope that is OK.

Thanks.
Kevin

Hello,
Sorry about that. It appears that the behavior goes back to 15.4. I filed a bug on your behalf, though. I hope the team will come up with a fix soon for you. I'm going to have to ask for your patience on that one. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi BriannaEdits99,

We're sorry about the poor experience. We will get it checked. Let us know the version of Premiere Pro that you are using. Also, for testing purposes, please try closing the Project panel & check if nesting reloads the Project panel.
Note: To reopen the Project panel, navigate to Window > Projects.

Thanks,

Sumeet
