Newest Version of Premiere Pro taking extremely long to render a slideshow

[adobe PP 2025, 4/23/2025]
I created what was practically an photoslideshow in premiere pro with some video. Im used to renders going generally fast but not this one.

The slide show was an hour long so I wasnt shocked it was taking some time, but after about 8 hours it only got half way. No error, no messages, I wasnt doing anything else on my computer, but it seemed like the rendering just straight up stopped. I paused it, waited 10 minutes and restarted it and it seemed to give it a bit more life, but still extremely slow, from the render preview it would move maybe 1 photo every 10~20 minutes. This was via  both media encoder, and 'export media' from PP2025. Via export media after 24 minutes it just seemed to stop entirely.

Eventually I got fed up and closed it, loaded the latest version of Adobe 2024 (thankfully still on my PC], and rendered it there in less than 40 minutes.

In terms of what I was rending, again just photos and some videos that totaled 1 hr long with a simple cross dissolve between them. 1920x1080, everything scale to fit frame, no audio. Same exact slideshow on both programs

Is there something wrong?

PC stats:
AMD Ryzen 9 5950
MOBO: TUF gaming x570 plus
Ram :128 GB
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 4070 TI super
I also make adobe a priority via those performance and memory settings

The file type (.prin) is not supported.

The file type (.prproj) is not supported.

I tried to attach project files but I get this error.

I'm rendering a video I did previously and its working without issue

Hi @JohnnyRocket

do you have the project file that you could share with us so we could take a look at the project and see if there is anything wrong with the project itself?

Also have you tried to export anything else other than the Stills sequence you had issues with? And how does that export of another sequence work?

Thank you
Ian
