NVIDIA 5080 and Premiere Pro, are totally unstable

Premiere Pro using a NIVIDIA 5080 will crash within 5 seconds of pressing Play, Render or Encoding. Seems like a NVIDIA architecture issue that Adobe may have to find a solution for to assist it users.

Hi @Lyle359019605yqe

Sorry you've been experiencing issues. We need a few more details to help like Premiere Pro version you are on and hardware specs. Please see How to Report a Problem

What driver version are you on? There were some issues with the NVIDIA 50 series, and fixes were implemented in the NVIDIA Studio Driver version 581.57. See this post for more information.

More details about the media and projects showing these problem would also be helpful to know.

Sorry for the frustration,

Dani

What CPU, what media, and especially which driver are you using?

The latest Studio driver should be fine. The original drivers with the 50 series cards were and are a total mess across all the pro video apps. So if you are not on a new Studio driver, troubles are guaranteed but not due to Adobe issues per se.

So we need that data I asked for.
