object mask tool doesn't highlight object after second use

After creating Object Mask 01, Premiere Pro does not highlight or enable the options needed to create a second object mask. While Object Mask 02 is technically created, no overlay appears. To restore the subject highlighting, I have to save the project, close Premiere Pro, and then restart both the application and the project.

    Hi @Mthomas3254
Yeah, the new Object Mask tool is amazing, but a bit tricky. I think what you need to do as a workaround is to look in the Unassigned Masks on the Effect Controls, and once that first mask is created, click on the Unassigned Masks to get off the first object mask, and then select the area of your second mask.
You can also click off of the clip in the sequence once the first mask is created, then click back on the clip and create your second mask from the object mask tool. I have attached a video to show how to create multiple masks on a single clip.
    Here to help.
