Object masks don't render in Media Encoder

When using object masks in a regular sequence in Premiere, the effect does not render when exporting the sequence via Media Encoder. I do not receive a warning or pop-up and can only deduce this is the case after reviewing the exported file.

Object masks should render via Media Encoder and until they do the user should be prompted with a more visible warning that they will not render if using Media Encoder.

Using Premiere 26.3.0 (Build 93) and Media Encoder 26.0.2 (Build 2) on M3 Ultra Mac Studio, MacOS 26.5.1.

    Hi @Travis24635247j1h9

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums! Sorry for any frustrations there, and appreciate you sharing the versions and setup you’re currently on as that’s very helpful.

It appears you’re currently using different versions of Premiere and Media Encoder. If you go to Creative Cloud desktop app, and go from Home to App button on the left sidebar, scroll down to Media Encoder and click the triple horizontal dots for More > Other Versions and select v26.3.1 for example.

You could also update both Premiere/Media Encoder matching to v26.3.2, if you would rather.

I also wonder if you were to export directly from Premiere without Media Encoder involved, do the masks render correctly?

    Hope to help,
    Katie
