P: Duplicate frame markers only showing on one clip in 24.1

A new bug with 24.1: Duplicate frames markers in the timeline is only showing on one of the two clips with duplicate frames (rather than both). It seems to be showing only the new clip, not the original.

How is this not fixed yet? It's been a year now.

I am still having this problem in Version 25.0.0 (Build 61).

My primary use case is to pull an interview clip down from the source panel or to copy and paste it from another sequence. Then I turn on duplicate frame markers to see if the clip has already been used elsewhere. Just now I put a clip on the timeline and it showed no duplicate markers. A bit dubious, I stretched it out to see if it would show duplicates that I already knew existed. It still did not.

After rereading an early post on this thread, I split the clip near the begining and (as many have reported) the duplicate frames apeared of the right hand side of the split. However when I attempted to extend the clip by the left side handle it carried the duplicate frame markers with the clips updated in-point rather than positioning them over the orginal duplicate frames identified. Splitting the clip again made the markers reappear. Very odd behavior.

I so appreciate the people at Adobe who are working on this issue. I'm sure its much more complicated than I can imagine.

Please let me know if there is any way I can be helpful in resolving this issue. I'm happy to answer questions or test out potential solutions on my machine if that's any assistance.

It is a powerful feature of the program and I will be so thankful when it is restored. All the best!

Same problem here!!! and it's a big problem if you're editing a documentary with a lot of footage.

I really don't understand why Adobe in every update has so many bugs.

Adobe, instead of thinking about AI, please make Premiere work.....

Same Clip - First Clip does not indicate duplicate.  Only second clip does, which is a catastrophic hassle for some us.

This has not been resolved in Version 24.6.1

Same issue, running Premiere 24.3

I closed and opened the project and the past duplicated clips were showing now, but if I create more duplicates now they won't show the markers. Very weird.

I started having this issue (only one clip showing the dupe bar) when I upgrade to 24.4.1.  Updating to 24.5 hasn't sovled it either.  Spitting the clip makes the other dupe appear but this is a big part of my workflow.  Hope it gets addressed soon.

In the context of recent changes to Adobe’s Terms of Service, along with any recommendation to install Beta software it’s worth reminding users that by doing so they agree human review of user content and additional data analysis. (Beta installs grant Adobe access to content that regular installs do not - Section 2.2G and 3.11)

There are still reports that this is not working correctly in 24.5.0, but there is often not enough information to evaluate. I ran the following tests in 24.5.0 and Beta 24.6.0.55. Win 10. Regular, not a Productions project. I did not test multicam.

When I installed 24.5.0 and the Beta, I reset preferences and cleared cache, and each of these tests are in a new project created in the version being tested.

Bottom line: working correctly for me except that minimum track height does not work for the Video tracks in Release 24.5, but is fixed in Beta.

Single clip sequence.
Split clip. Alt drag second part (indicators on duplicate part of original, and the copy)
Delete the dupe, marker is removed on orig

Minimize V1 track height. Markers do not show.
Minimize by drag, or use Wrench -> Minimize all tracks.
Same with multiple video tracks.
Audio tracks still show, even if multiple tracks.

I did not see any difference in an unlinked clip.
