P: Keine Metadaten bei AAF-Export in 24.2.1 / No metadata on AAF export

As mentioned, the bug, present in 25.0, will be fixed in PPro's next official release, 25.1.

Our in-house users have tested it, and version 24.6.x does indeed correct the problem, but not the “2025” version.

I updated to 24.6.3 and can confirm that the timecode is now correctly saved with the file. I exported all eight audio channels of a camera clip, imported them into Premiere, and each one has the correct timecode. Thanks so much for fixing this! This is a big deal.

However...when I import them all back in, they all end up sharing the same waveform .pek file, which would be the first one generated. It's like Premiere sees they all have the same timecode, so it doesn't bother generating .pek files for the other seven files. I run one of them through Audition, resaving without the timecode metadata, and it gets a new .pek file.

Should I start a new bug report for this?

This bug (which was with broadcast .wav timecode handling, unrelated to AAF) is fixed in current PPro beta builds, and the fix will be in PPro's next official release.

En la versión 24.6.3 funciona correctamente el exportado de AAF. En la versión 25 funciona mal, la AAF exportada indica que todos los Start TC de todos los clips están a 00:00:00:00.

I have tried with the new Premiere Pro 24.6.3 (Buid 4) it seems that the Start TC metadata is correct in the AAF. Somebody else can confirm that?

It's exactly the same for me. But this was already fixed!!!!. Did anyone forget to put this code in the new version?

When a project sequence is selected and AAF is exported, the original timecode is discarded and the abnormal timecode is overwritten instead.

1.Set up in-outs on the timeline.

2.Select AAF Export.

3.The time code of the exported AAF is corrupted.

The same phenomenon has occurred on a number of Mac and Windows computers owned by me and other editors.

Premiere version 2023 does not have this problem.
The versions I have tested are as follows
2024.6.1 NG
2024.6.5 NG

2023.67 OK

This problem is seriously damaging pre- and post-production work. Please correct this problem immediately.

Hi vnq_k

This is currently a known issue and we are looking into fixing this. If you have any other information you could send me that would be great. That or a project file, but we are working on reproducing the same errors and finding out ways to implement a fix for this problem.

Thank you

Ian

And in 24.6.1 it doesn't work either. New installation, new project, timecodes always 00:00:00:00. 😕😕

Well, some time went by and with the current version 24.6.1 of Premiere Pro I still have the same issues. I tested it with AIFF (24 and 16 Bit) and WAV (24 and 16 Bit). But no timecode in the Exports. Strange that with AIFF there are some tracks before 10:00:00:00 (my FFOA) that have the right Start-TC, but everything beneath 10:00:00:00 has 00:00:00:00.

Screenshots attached.

Well, now I have to install 24.1.0 to make that AAF export ...
