After adding a clip to one of my project folders, the bin keeps on scrolling to the top automatically.

I closed and reopened the app, but the issue persists.

The issue happens only for that specifin folder, all others behave as usual.

Premiere Pro version is 24.5.0 (Build 57) on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5

I've been having this issue since the latest update. It happens at random projects and at random times. So mine isn't about a specific folder. Premiere's been adding lots of bugs lately. It's getting harder to work with.

HAving the saem issue suddenly on new project. Dragged/dropped in icon view and the autoscroll began. I did draga clip to the timeline and it stopped scroll but only temporarily. Once I move clips around within the same bin the scrolling begins again. Very frustrating but i'm sure it will be addressed. Mac OS 14.2.1

Hey there! It sounds like you're experiencing an issue in Adobe Premiere Pro where the scrolling goes unexpectedly when you're working with files in your project. Here are some friendly steps to help you troubleshoot and hopefully fix the problem:

1. Check Your Keyboard:

Make sure none of the arrow keys on your keyboard (especially the down arrow) are stuck. Give them a few presses to ensure they're all moving freely.

2. Watch for Unintended Keystrokes:

While using Premiere Pro, keep an eye out for any keys (especially the down arrow) that might be getting pressed accidentally. You can do a quick test in a text editor to see if any keys are behaving oddly.

3. Try Another Keyboard:

If possible, swap out your keyboard temporarily to see if the issue persists. Sometimes a different keyboard can make all the difference.

4. Accessibility Settings Check (Windows):

Check your computer's accessibility settings to make sure options like Sticky Keys and Filter Keys are turned off. These settings can sometimes affect keyboard behavior.

5. Reset Premiere Pro Preferences:

Resetting Premiere Pro preferences can sometimes fix strange issues. Close Premiere Pro, then hold down `Alt` + `Shift` (Windows) or `Option` + `Shift` (Mac) while launching Premiere Pro. Confirm when prompted.

6. Update Premiere Pro:

Ensure you're using the latest version of Premiere Pro. Updates often include fixes for bugs and improvements that could solve your scrolling problem.

Hope these steps help resolve the scrolling issue in Premiere Pro so you can get back to your projects smoothly!

In the Project Window with all of my video clips I keep running into a "bug" where it starts scrolling to the top. This seems to only happen in Icon view. For instance, I have 100 clips in my project with 2 columns, If I'm on clip number 50 I'm scrolled down pretty far. Randomly while moving clips to the source monitor the project panel starts scrolling to the top. Once this starts happening it continues to do so until i restart Premier pro. I can scroll down and it immediatly starts scrolling back up. While it is scrolling up everything else in the premier pro seems to work fine, I can go to the timeline and hover over the time and scroll in/out  which tells me my mouse is likely not the problem. I have tried unplugging both my mouse, keyboard, and all other things connected to my computer with a usb. This seems to happen randomly, could be within the first 15 minutes of opening the program or 2 hours in. If anyone has any suggestions that dont have the possibilty of messing up my current project id love to here them. With so many clips it takes a while for premier to reload everything and generate icons so restarting is getting to be a bit time consuming.

I wouldn't say this is a fix, but rather a work-around. Adobe needs to put out a permanent fix for this bug.

I have this bug too and found out how to reproduce it and what the cause might be.

If you sort in icon view and try to move an item to the top or bottom, it will trigger the scrolling mechanism and get stuck. This happens for up and down scrolling.

Fix is to simply grab one item and move it a bit and release it, it will stop the scrolling mechanism.

There seems to be a bug where the premiere pro project window won't stop scrolling to the bottom, making it difficult to scroll through footage.
I've experienced this bug on both PC and Mac versions of premiere pro, and happens randomly during the edit. On PC it would happen instantly after closing and reopening premiere, and on Mac it seems to happen randomly whilst editing.
The work around is to drag the project window onto another screen and enlarge it so there is no need to scroll, a bit inconvenient but it'll do for now.

Been having this problem since the most recent update. It's been happening across all my projects in all my folders. I'm running Premiere Pro 2024 v. 24.5 on MacOS Sonoma 14.5. Frustrating to work with, hoping for an update soon.
