P: Transmit issue with 25.6.2

Hi.
Since upgrading to 25.6.2, transmit doesn't work at startup. I need to do one of these things to "wake it up":

- Open preferences
- Open Lumetri Panel

It kind of reminds me this old bug where you had to move the main screen by a couple of pixels away from the second screen to activate transmit on this second screen.
But doing that doesn't seem to do it this time...

Premiere Pro 25.6.2
Macbook Pro M1 Max / Sonoma 14.8.1
Main screen : external LG 4K screen
Second screen : internal Mac Display
Transmit screen : EIZO CG247X

I have mapped "Enable Transmit to command-` and have had it reliably there for a couple years now. Even had it successfully mapped on my StreamDeck. This would play back on my second monitor which is plugged into my 2021 16-inch Apple M1 Max MacBook Pro unning macOS 15.7.2 (24G325) and Premiere Pro 25.6.4 (Build 5). If I had to guess, this started sometime around 25.1-ish

Steps to recreate the problem:

1. Run Premiere from MacBook Pro in clamshell mode on a Studio Display displaying 2560x1440/P3-600nits as the main UI and an HDMI monitor as the program monitor running 2560x1440/Rec.709 Gamma 2.4 60 Hertz.

2. Map "Enable Transmit" to a KB shortcut

3. Open a Premiere Production in any workspace

4. Toggle the "Enable Transmit" shortcut

What should have happened? The program monitor should have toggled on and off

What actually happened? 75% of the time, nothing happens. The workaround I have found to work is to open the Premiere Pro settings and manually toggle the "transmit" checkbox and then the shortcut will work.

Do you have any third-party plug-ins or panels installed (even if they aren't being used when you encounter the bug)? Attached

My config for the monitors is 1 and 2 are display port and 3rd one is HDMI. All drivers are up to date. I had no issue with the previous version of Premiere Pro but since the update to 25.6.3 it no longer works correctly. I have done all the clear preferences and such but it still has to be re set every time I open a project.

Hi.
I just did a clean install of Sequoia and Premiere 25.6.3 and the issue's gone for now.

I'll let you know if it does it again in the future.

I'm on PCs, and sometimes this happens on launch. Easy to get past.

In the Keyboard Shortcuts panel is an un-assigned shortcut for Transmit Out. I set that to Shift-C so it's a quick one-hand on/off toggle.

And I do need to have it, as if you say have T-O on, switch to another app, the image from T-O occasionally gets enlarged to cover all screens ... I've got four monitors going ... and it is then a pain to get back to correctly working.

So anytime I switch to another app, I toggle off T-O.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

When Premiere opens, my display monitor fails to engage. To fix it, I must open Mac system display settings, click on ARRANGE, and "wiggle" the target monitor. The simple act of interacting with the target monitor usually fixes the issue, but sometimes I also need to go to Premiere settings and toggle on/off Mercury Transmit.

In the first Premiere beta I loaded, this issue was resolved but it has resurfaced in subsequent updates.

System: 2025 Apple M3 Ultra Mac Studio with 96GB memory

I hope this information is helpful!

Hello @mtfotog - I assume you also have two other monitors connected?.

Are they connected into a GPU card ?.

Where is your third monitor connected with the problem?.

Mine for example (if I use it) is only connected to the HDMI output of my Intel on motherboard GPU. Montors 1 and 2 are connected via Display Ports on Nvidia GPU. Can you confirm your configuration.

Have you also tried updating your Display drivers for both GPU's just to see if that helps the issue?.

I am running the current version of Premiere Pro; 25.6.3 on Windows 11 Pro 24H2. In the past when using the the playback stream to a 3rd monitor, the output would re appear after closing the program and then opening it later. Now I have to go into EDIT_Preferences_Playback and uncheck the monitor box; close it; then open back up and recheck the monitor box. Something changed in the latest update of Premiere as I did not have this problem in the previous versions. Could you please fix this???

In Premiere Pro 25.6.3, the program fails to display the preview window on a secondary monitor when starting the application. The preview only appears if I go into Preferences → Playback and manually uncheck and then re-check the secondary monitor.

This issue did not exist in previous versions and significantly disrupts workflow for users working with dual-monitor setups. Previous suggested workarounds, such as resetting workspace or updating graphics drivers, do not resolve the problem.

Premiere Pro is expensive software, with prices increasing recently, yet this bug makes normal dual-monitor workflow cumbersome and unreliable. Users expect professional-grade stability from premium software, and this issue falls short of that expectation.

Good morning,

I use a 3rd monitor as a playback stream monitor. It seems with the last update that whenever I close Premiere project then later open one; the playback monitor does not have video in it. I have to go back into preferences uncheck the box, close it, open it back up, check the playback monitor box again, then it works. It used to always stay connected. Any fixes???

Thank you @Dani_V..

Yes, transmit is OK when I have theses panels and/or workspaces enabled from the start.
I use a custom workspace where the Lumetri panel is closed.
