what took Abode so long to fix?

Same issue on Win11.Only restarting Premiere helps.

Same thing, click on T for text, go to the video in the monitor to start typing, nothing happens. All it does is make new text layers each time and you cannot write on any of them.

Got it. Reason is that we had fixed a bunch of stuff since this thread started, so it's better to start new with the current status quo.

It was originally a separate thread. Someone merged my post with this thread.

I do think the issue is related now after reading through this thread, but yes there are some specifics that may only pop up for subtitling vs other type tool uses.

@morphinapg It would be good if we could start a new thread with your issue and look at it closer without it getting in the weeds with everything in this thread.

I can confirm that my version of this issue related to subtitles is still not fixed as of 25.0.0
