Playback starts but the line moves with a delay. And if i stop it it starts again.

Hello I just updated and now i am not able to edit anymore! I press the spacebar and the audio and video starts right away but the line of the timeline starts after. When I press the spacebar again it gos back to the start point.   Terrible you cannot edit like this!  Please help.

    Wow! It would seem to me that Adobe would be faster than quick to put out a message or an update to correct this simple playback issue. I spent 11 days trying and failing to find a solution to my playback issues. I upgraded to Premiere 2024 after waiting a few days for any bug updates and noooo; I lost valuable editing time . THis is unacceptable. It was not until I found this thread that I think(hope) that turning on 'High Quality Playback' corrected the scarry and painful delay after hitting play or the spacebar.

    Bad Adobe; you need a spanking.

      I changed bck to ADOBE DESKTOP AUDIO and now it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Trying different things I changed the PRIMARY AUDIO DEVICE to Adobe SRT and now the video playback works but I dont hear the audio..

        Now the resolution is changing but the problem with playback persists.

        Thnaks for the help but nothing happened. 😞   Its very strange cause if I use Premiere 2020 everything is ok. But In this uodated versions this problem is happening.  I can´t believe this is happening.  The update caused the problem and now I don´t know what to do.

        Go back to full, and on the Wrench icon (Program monitor) make sure 'High Quality Playback' is check. Lastly, check the preferences Audio Hardware and select No Input for Defualt Input. Give those a shot.

        Hello, I have an M1 Pro Mac Monterey 12.4

        I just updated 2023 and downloaded 2024 versions.

        When I work in some 2020 projects I don’t have the problem.
        Before updating it worked properly.
        Now 2023 and 2024 has this problem: I press the space bar and the audio starts right away…. A few seconds after the video starts but out of sinc.
        The playback head starts when the video starts so it starts later.. and when I stop it it stops at the beginning¡union or where ever..
        Another thing I see is that when I change the playback resolution from full to any 1/2 or 1/4 the image does not change.


        I have to finish a video for work and I am inbox problem now. Please help!!

        Give us something. Win, Mac, OS version, PP version, hardware specs, type of media, media specs, etc...
