Popping and crackling audio when importing clips

premiere pro has been causing these popping noises whenever I import clips into the software, and I have no idea how to solve it. I've tried so many diff things like clearing caches, changing sample rate, setting default audio input to no input like some people have been mentioning online, but NOTHING is fixing it and its driving me crazy. I have an example clip of the popping, which happens at the very start of the clip.

Same issue here. Did you find a solution that doesnt include to convert the audio first into .wav?

The file type I am using for the video is MP4 with the FFMPEG AAC audio encoding. If this information could help, This video footage is from a livestream VOD, saved on the twitch website online which has been downloaded in order to be edited on.

After upgrading to the latest version, every video that I'd created prior plays with distortion... Super weird. It has to be something that was release in the software..

Hi @Chroma_tix

Would the audio files happen to be .mts ? We are aware of an issue that has come up recently and I could merge your post if it is similar to this
