PP 25.2.1 - Playback lagging, freezing, Audiometers are moving

With the latest Update the timeline playback sometimes stoppes, the Autiometers are showing Audiolevel movement, but very slow but Image is frozen. Also the SourceMonitor Video does not play.  After a few seconds (10 or more) and by placing the Timeline Cursor somewhere else and press play, it workes again.

I changed Playback Resolution Full, 1/4,..., I´m not at High Quality Playback.

I`m on a M1 Max 64Gb Ram, SLOG3 not extra LUT, Intern  Footage is Fx3 200Mbit, 4k25 H265, DJI Mini 3 4K and GoPro 4K, latest MacOS.

V 25.2.3 and still the same issues, even worse, at Audiolevelchange (G) Audiopeaking needs calculations with progressbar, sometimes freezing after every Cut or Clipend change. This time no FX3 mp4 involved, just DJI Mini 3 pro and iPhone HEVC 10 bit 4:2:0 .mov, 1080p Timeline.

Hi @Flowers.42 ,

Sorry to hear you're facing this issue. Could you please share some of the problematic media or project files? That would help us recreate the scenario locally and provide more accurate suggestions.

Thanks,
Mayjain

Yes hardware acceleration is on, no proxies, no mulitcam, I use a adjustment layer wir Lumetri and Unsharp mask, but with or without it has the same issue. Yes it is mixed framerate, timeline has 25p, all Settings are from the 25.1 Version, so no idear with colormanagement settings is now the ideal, the "bearbeitungsmodus" is on "Benutzerdefiniert".

Here are more infos, always looking forward to help 🙂

Hi @Flowers.42,

Thank you for providing more information and sorry you're experiencing issues.

A few other questions: Do you have hardware acceleration enabled under Settings > Media? Are you using any proxies or any nested/multicam workflows? Could you share additional details on sequence settings and if mixed frame rates are being used?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani

I have deaktivated the autio Input, don´t use extra interfaces. The memory for Adobe is at 56Gb, after i restart my computer, it works better,... before, after every Clip manibulation it was freezing,... in the progress panel I just see auto color, don´t use autocolor, so no idear what that is.

@Flowers.42 When this happens could you click on the Progress panel up in the top right of the main Premiere Pro window? It has the icon of either a circle or three horizontal lines. Is anything happening in the Progress panel, like any background activity?

Secondarily, do you have any Audio Input/Output devices attached? Could you share a screenshot of your Premiere Pro Audio Hardware preferences? Thanks.
