Pp 26.3.2 same problems as previous version 26.3...Adobe, how long will this agony last...

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums again! Sorry for any frustrations with those two issues between the HEVC and relinking taking longer than expected.

As far as the HEVC goes, you should not normally need to reinstall the HEVC codec for each of the 26.3.x updates. The codec is installed at the system level and is intended to be shared. This change occurred with v26.3 onward as you already experienced so that sounds like a bug, like it’s not recognizing it as previously existing.

As for the relinking/load times issue, were you able to check Progress panel during the additional wait time to see if it says which task it may be for when you say it’s still doing “something else”? For example, does it show Media Intelligence Analysis, Preparing Audio, Generating Audio Waveforms, Media Pending, or another status? You mentioned a dashboard though, so perhaps you were already there.

Also, is your media on this project stored similarly as last post and if you’re using any third party plug-ins? That would be helpful. You can just say the same or not.

You also mentioned the higher processor % and I wondered if that number continues growing over time?

Our team will file a bug report on that HEVC reinstall issue and return here to update once that information becomes available. I went back through your other post and saw you’re on Win11 on the latest Studio driver 610.62 and using Premiere 26.3.2 presently for the report. I’m looking further into the relinking load time issue presently.
