Since 24.5.0, occasionally without following any specific case, the cursor in the timeline remains frozen while playing the preview.
Someone else happens?
I have cleared cache, restarted PC, nothing works until it randomly starts working again.

My setup:
- Ryzen 9 5950x
- MSI Mortar B550
- 2x16Gb DDR4 3200
- RTX 3060 Ti
- 1x1Tb M.2 SSD (system and apps)
- 1x2tb M.2 SSD (raw files)
- 1x250Gb SATA3 SSD (cache)
- Windows 11
- Last NVIDIA Studio drivers

@xfabre I ran into this issue with the 24.5 release but after resetting the Workspace and changing between Workspaces, I am no longer able to reproduce the issue. When I was in this state, I was able to work around it by closing the Essential Graphics panel. Hopefully this helps you continue your work. We will continue to investigate and if you run into a recipe to reproduce the issue, please share it with us.

Can you try resetting your Workspace, or try another Workspace and see if it affects the issue.

Not now,.. I downgrade to lastest 24.4.x cause I need to continue working normally

Are you using any transmit devices or multiple monitors? If so, try eliminating the peripherals.

I have two monitors but only use unoe of them (21:9) for Premiere.

Can you make sure your Audio Input preferences are set to a valid input source or set it to none.

Yes, I have a Rodecaster Duo as main soundcard properly configured.

Does this occur with all projects/sequences?

Yes. I tried to create a new empty project, a clip was added and the same happens

Anything we can do to eliminate factors could be helpful.
Work on projects with mixed H264/H265 footage.

Restart the computer several times and clean cache doesn't works.

I have also been experiencing this since updating to 24.5.0.

After a random amount of time (usually over a half an hour of work) the UI freezes, this is most often noticeable with the timeline but extends to the UI in general.

So you can still "technically" interract with Premiere when it is frozen, you can start and stop playback, but the program panels will not register any interraction visually. (The program and source preview seem to be unnafected, however all other panels in the program do not change or react.)

This has occured with multiple projects working with a variety of H.264 / H.265 footage from different cameras.

System Info:
Intel i9 12900k
Z690 Areo G DDR4
Gigabyte RTX 3070ti
4x32gb DDR4 3200 RAM
1x1TB NVME SSD (System / Premiere)
1x2TB NVME SSD (Cache)
1x2TB SATA SSD (Edit Files)
Windows 11
Latest NVIDIA Studio Drivers (555.99)
Lastest version of Premiere (24.5.0)

The only thing that seems to resolve the issue is quitting Premiere and restarting it until the UI freezes up again.
