Premiere 26.2.2 makes it impossible to work in this video editor

What kind of update is this? The interface keeps lagging, and everything freezes. Roll back this update and release a proper build. I can't work!!! Not only does everything freeze—you're killing my project!!

First, try the old standbys ... hold down shift on launch, select delete all cache files. That at times fixes odd crud.

Past that, roll back to 26.1 and see if that works.

That never works for me, and besides, I’ve already replaced the SSD—there’s no cache on it physically—but that didn’t help either. I even replaced the graphics card. Let’s just face it: the kernel is terribly outdated, the program runs poorly and is unstable, and no one can do anything about it.

Are there some with issues, like yours? Oh certainly. But many more are not having troubles. So it seems worth it to figure out where the difference lies. Troubleshooting ... which helps in one or both of two ways. First, might get a user going again. Second, properly done, better data for the devs.
