Premiere can't properly decode latest Google Flow model (Omni Flash) video outputs without introducing random artifacting.

On May 19th, Google added a new model, Omni Flash, to their Video AI generator, Flow. The latest versions of Premiere Pro (26.2.2 Build 3) and After Effects (26.2.1 Build 2) as of 05/22/26 are not properly decoding the codec used for the video outputs from this latest model. Obvious but randomly placed video artifacting is being displayed in both the preview and outputs from Premiere Pro and After Effects that are not being displayed in other applications or programs such as VLC Player, DaVinci Resolve, etc. I tried both the latest Game Ready as well as a clean install of the latest Studio Driver from NVidia for my 4080S but had the same results.

    @yuki_0699 Thank you for your system specs. It helps us in identifying the causes of these playback issues.

     

    I am wondering if this is related to another bug we are working on. Could you try setting in your Program Monitor the resolution to Full instead of the default ½? Let me know if this resolves the playback glitches.

    I have the same issue.

    My environment:

    - Adobe Premiere Pro 26.3.0 (Build 93)
    - Windows 11 Home 64-bit
    - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB
    - NVIDIA Studio Driver 610.62
    - AMD Ryzen 7 7700
    - 32 GB RAM

    The original Google Flow (Omni Flash.) video files are completely clean.

    Random block artifacts appear during playback in Premiere Pro, and the artifact locations change every time I play the timeline.

    If I export the same timeline multiple times, the artifacts appear in different locations each time.

    I tested the following:

    - Disabled hardware decoding
    - Software encoding
    - Cleared the media cache
    - Updated to the latest NVIDIA Studio Driver
    - Converted the Omni Flash. clips to ProRes (no improvement)

    Kling and Seedance videos do not show this issue.

    One important finding:

    The issue becomes much more frequent with longer timelines (around 12 minutes).

    As a temporary workaround, splitting the project into approximately 3-minute sections and exporting each section separately avoids the artifacts.

    The Studio Driver is certainly recommended and that was an excellent trouble shooting step.
