Premiere just takes all the clips inside those folders and throws them into the project root together

"I am using the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro's Project Templates feature. When creating a new project, I select a 'Standard Template Project' which pre-populates my Project Panel with a specific bin structure (e.g., 01 Footage, 02 Audio, 03 Graphics).

The Issue: During the initial Import Mode screen, I select multiple media folders (e.g., '01 Main Cam1' and '02 Drone 1'). However, once the project opens, Premiere Pro places these imported folders at the Root Directory of the Project Panel, rather than nesting them inside the template's existing '01 Footage' bin.

My Goal: I want the imported media folders to automatically ingest directly into the '01 Footage' bin provided by the template, maintaining their folder structure, without me having to manually drag-and-drop them after the project opens.

Questions:

  1. Is there a setting in the 'Import Settings' panel (Organize Media section) that allows me to target an existing template bin as the destination?

  2. If this is a limitation of the current UI, is there a JSX script or a Console command I can use to 'map' specific import selections to specific template bins?

  3. Are there any 'Smart Bin' or 'Watch Folder' workflows within the new Template system that solve this?"
