Premiere not rendering background video on export

I’m on a MBP M2 Max using the latest version of PrP 26.5.2

A number of times now I have exported my sequence using AME and the background video of a graphic/still has not rendered on export. Usually these backgrounds are duplicates of stills that are scaled up with a gaussian blur effect applied in order to provide background for a vertical picture or graphic (see attached pict). This was not happening in previous versions of Premiere.

    Hello @einsof613

Welcome back to the Premiere Forums. Thank you for your bug report. I’m having a little trouble reproducing this issue on my end and could use some clarity on the steps to reproduce.

A screenshot of your timeline with the layers and your Effects Control Panel or Properties Panel showing the layered effects would be helpful. When you say “Duplicates of Stills” is this a freeze frame from a video or a standard 1920x1080 image zoomed in about how much? When it plays in the timeline do you see this background? Does the background render when exporting directly out of Premiere or only when run through AME?

    Hoping to help,

    Amy

    Hi Amy,

Thanks so much for getting back to me.
I will post some screenshots so you have a better idea what I’m talking about. Everything looks and plays fine on my timeline but on export with AME the background is missing. This has happened a few times now after upgrading. When I park on this effect in AME I can see that the background is messed up, but I cannot be expected to check every layered graphic each time I need to export. I did not export directly from Premiere.

This is how the effect should look:

This is how it starts off when I scale up the bottom, duplicated layer and then have to shift the x-position over:

Here is the beginning control panel settings before x-position shift:

And here is control panel after shifting to the left and scaling up so the background is covered:
