Premiere Pro 25.5 Thumbnails keep reloading

Hi! Ever since I updated to Premiere Pro 25.5 (on Windows 11) I keep encountering the same problem.

Every time I edit anything, when I trim a clip or drag a clip, the whole timelime seems to reload/refresh, so that all the thumbnails of all the clips neet to reload/refresh. This is of course very frustrating as I need to wait 5 seconds everytime I do anything, or else I won't know which clip I'm going to edit. So a day of editing for 8 hours becomes 12 hours because of this.

I've installed Premiere Pro 25.3 and the problem seems to go away (most of the time). My PC is very capable of handling big projects so that shouldn't be the issue, and hasn't been an issue until the last couple of days. If it's a problem that can be easily be fixed by myself (media cache for example), then I would love to hear it.

Hopefully this will be fixed. Thanks!

Hi @Elmer32329000wf9v
Does this behavior happen with all projects? What happens if you create a new project? As other users have suggested, clearing the media cache and resetting the user preference settings may also help.
Here to help

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
