    Hi,

MacOS Tahoe 26.5.2 but the error occurred on the version before.

1 - Did that and it didnt help.

2 - I noticed on 26.3 but I needed to go back to the last 25.x

    3 - Yes, didnt work

4 - It freezes on the first frame and when I stop playing it updates to the stop-frame

@Magnus Bylund Thank you for that information. We’d like to do some further testing with a simplified copy of the project file and one of the clips you’re having the issue with.

I can DM you a dropbox upload link or you can send me a DM with a link to those from Google Drive or another place you prefer.

Also curious if it’s freezing up in source monitor too, or just on program monitor.

    Much appreciated,
    Katie

    Hi @Magnus Bylund

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums and including the media properties and issue you’re having in Premiere 26.X on your Mac apple Silicon (what MacOS? out of curiosity)

    1) Try refreshing your login to Creative Cloud, as there could be a sync error with it installing the codec that requires a full log-out and re-authentication and ensure it has permissions. And if needed, there is this Adobe Creative Cloud cleaner that may help.

    2) May we ask which specific version and build you’re having this happen in, is it v26.3?

    3) Have you tried disabling the option under Premiere > Settings > Media and toggle off the ‘enable hardware accelerated decoding’? Let it restart then try playback again.

    4) Wondering if it’s freezing right away or if there any effects applied? What happens if you transcode it?

Sorry for any frustrations, and hope to help!
