Premiere Pro and After effects dynamic link freezing both applications.

I have a macbook pro m4 and this project is just crashing all the time, 100% of the time.

I have a 15s clip of 4k footage, color graded in PrPro. I need some animation on it so I replace this with AE comp. It worked fine for a couple of days but suddenly every time I make the smallest adjustment to the AE file and save it, PrPro just freezes, doesn't preview anymore, stuck on the same screen and AE just crashes unable to open it. When I quit both and re open everything works 'fine' until I make a new adjustment (which is all the time). Tried it with a fresh AE comp, with no 4k footage, just a small animation and it does the same. Since this project imporant and has to be finished fast I figured taking a backup laptop (also macbook m4, brand new) and just working on that for a week but it is the same problem on that laptop. Also tried to go back a version in Premiere & AE and it still doesn't change anything.

I looked up solutions and nothing is working. Disabled Multi frame rendering, disabled GPU acceleration.. Please. someone, help.
