Premiere Pro continually causes my screen to go black while in projects

Title just about sums up the issue I'm having. I can't scrub, drop videos into, play, or do just about anything in Premiere Pro without the screen going completely black for a few seconds.

I've tried the following fixes
- Updating Premiere Pro
- Rolling Back Drivers

- Updating Windows
- Turning on GPU Acceleration

I'm stumped, and seriously need to get back to work on a few projects.

Here are my PC's specs:
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090

CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K

RAM: 64GB DDR4 at 2400mhz

Hi @Jess.Vandal
There was a recent update to the Nvidia Drivers. Have you installed to the latest driver to see if this helps?
Studio driver 581.57 released on October 14th.

Do have dual monitors, yes, no other tools or programs running in the background aside from normal windows processes, Premiere Pro is running on version 25.5, all project files are affected, I'll attatch a project file in a second.

Hi @Jess.Vandal
Do you have dual monitors, and are there other editing software tools open in the background while working in Premiere Pro? If not, try running Premiere with nothing open in the background and see how it plays back. You are using the latest version of Premiere Pro 25.5, correct? Is this happening with all project files? Can you share one of the projects with the error you have described?

- Resetting window to saved layout
