CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology B850M GAMING X WIFI6E (AM5) [BIOS - F7]
Ram: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 96GB (2 x 48GB) DDR5-6400 PC5-51200 CL32 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit F5-6400J3239F48GX2-TZ5RK - Black [on]
GPU: PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0
Power Supply: Lian Li EDGE GOLD 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply
Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB OS: Windows 11 Pro Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7462)

What i'm experiencing is random crashes while
- adding in a text

- trying to adjust the length of layers
- scrubbing the timeline
- or adding in native effects from teh effects panel.

I work both locally and with a cloud based app to work from Suite.
I've ruled out it not being a CPU, Motherboard issue.
It does NOT happen every single time it's very random.
When the crash/freeze happens i'm unable to re-launch Premiere Pro.

Currently i've trying using a Singel stick of Ram 48GB (previously I had 2 making it 96GB).
I've ran without and with the XMP profile enabled the rusults are teh same.

Video of what happens after a crash.
I cannot restart Premiere Pro. the only way to clear what's happening is to do a full restart of teh computer.

Video of what happens right after applying a preset from the effects panel

I've attached a few crash Logs.

Hi @Bebanks

Thank you for reporting a problem and sorry you've been experiencing issues. Can you confirm the exact Premiere Pro version you are on

A fix for a similar issue was implemented in v25.5 (see here). Are you able to test an updated version of Premiere Pro and let us know if you are still seeing the problem?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
