Premiere Pro Crashing/BSOD when trying to Transcribe

When attempting to use the transcription feature of Premiere Pro, it will get most of the way through the transcription, and then freeze, crash to an error report, or completely BSOD. This happens no matter the size or length of the clip being transcribed.
Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 25.0 and 25.1
Operating system - Windows 10
System Info:
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHz

GPU Nvidia GeForce 4070

GPU driver Studio Driver 572.60
RAM 32 GB DDR 5

SSD

Video format: MP4
Workflow details: This is simply loading the clip and clicking "transcribe", in some cases there may be a few cuts first, but the transcription is mostly the first process that's looking to be done.
1. Create project

2. Import clip

3. Click Transcribe

Expected result - The audio should have transcribed.
Actual result - It crashed or BDOS'd

@anthony-eye,

What version are you running? Do you get any errors in PR before the crash. Use Window -> Events.

There was a bug, fixed in the latest versions.....

I've been having this same problem for at least a year. For whatever reason, my Windows workstation ALWAYS crashes after x amount of time trying to transcribe. It's unusable.

Happens on audio, video, whatever. All lengths. I only do English with separate speakers on.

Hi @kallindra103,

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums! We are glad to see you here.  Thank you for the report and the attachments.  Are you transcribing proxies or original media?  Are you using auto or static transcription?  Are you trying to transcribe in English or a different languaget?   Could you  provide a samlple clip for us to test with?  It would be good to have more detailed info about your video codec.  Can you use the MediaInfo app and use tree view to show what your video specs are?

I hope we can help you soon. Sorry for the frustration!
