Premiere pro keeps on generating peaking, very slow

I have been working on a project for over a month now and yesterday all of a sudden the button Generating peaking just kept on going, unabling me to work on the project. This morning I updated to the new version, but still the same. I opened my project at 10.00 this morning and now at 13.20 it is still running. Project of only 7 minutes. How can I stop this?

Hi, here the data, I hope this will help:

Laptop

Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics         (3.30 GHz)

RAM: 16,0 GB (15,4 GB available)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU

Windows 11

Memory on laptop: 1T (available 670GB)

Premiere Pro 25.6.3

Do you see the Generating Peak File progress stuck on a specific file if you open the Progress Dashboard? No, it just keeps processing

Do you see the same issues if you disable Media Intelligence Analysis? (Under Preferences > Media Analysis and Transcription). Yes

Project working on:

Sandisk Portable Pro SSD 2T  (880 GB available)

Media : MOV video files 4K and 6K

Here's a common problem I've run into... sometimes a DIT or AE will generate transcoded media and accidentally bake in like 16 or 32 channels of empty/useless audio because they checked a box or filled out the wrong thing in Resolve or whatever. Then when the AE links it with the production audio in premiere and you think you're all good, because you're only working with a few channels in your timeline, Premiere says "forget it bro" and still wants to read every channel of useless audio from the embdedded transcode media in your multiclip, and there's nothing you can do except make new transcode media without the deadweight audio tracks (Media Encoder can help with that).

Hi @Brigitte_BGVideo

Thank you for reporting a problem and sorry you've been experiencing issues. We need a few more details to help like the exact Premiere Pro version you are on and hardware information. Please see How to Report a Problem

What kind of media files are you working with and where is your media and project located? You can check media information by right-clicking the media in the Project panel > Media File Properties, or using an app like MediaInfo.

Sorry for the frustration,
