Premiere pro multicam issue where: if you toggle video track off it wont come back on until restart

Premiere pro multicam issue where: if you toggle video track off and then exit that multicam sequence into the nested sequence which is taking the multicam from, even if you go back to the top level multicam and toggle it back on it still wont reflect that in editable sequence and it stays off. The only way around it is be restarting premiere and then its fine. It's a really frustrating bug that's been plaguing me for id say since 2018. It's been happening to me across multiple devices and versions.

    HI @Matt2524577529l2
    Thanks for reporting this.

I'd like to understand the workflow better, as there are a few different ways to manage video track visibility in multicam and nested sequences.

    A few questions:

    • Which version of Premiere Pro are you currently using?
    • Can you provide the exact steps starting from a new project?
    • When you say "toggle video track off," do you mean the Track Output (eyeball) toggle in the multicam sequence?
    • Does the issue occur with a simple two-camera multicam sequence created from scratch?
    • If you reopen the project (without restarting Premiere), do you know if the track visibility returns, or is a full application restart required?

    To confirm my understanding:

    1. Open multicam sequence.
    2. Turn off a video track.
    3. Return to the parent/nested sequence.
    4. Re-enable the video track in the multicam sequence.
    5. The parent sequence continues to show the track as disabled until Premiere is restarted.

    Is that correct?

A short screen recording would be extremely helpful, as it would allow others to verify whether the track state is not propagating correctly from the multicam source back to the parent sequence.
