Premiere Pro painfully slow on brand new M1 Macbook Pro M1 Max

I've been editing mainly on Premiere since 2013 on Windows PCs, I bought a brand new M1 Macbook Pro M1 Max 32gb Ram, early in 2023. From the get go Premiere Pro was painfully slow, crashed around 5-10 times per day, video playback was laggy and Program Monitor/Mercury playback screen goes black frequently, requiring 3-5 min wait or restart. The rendering and export speeds are lightning quick, and After Effects works like a dream, especially the User Interface and Render/Exports.

First version was Premiere Pro 2022, then 2023 and now 2024. OS was Monteray, then Ventura and now on a clean install of Sonoma, and no change. I have 2 Dell HDMI monitors connected and mainly work off of Samsung T7 SSDs with a seperate SSD drive dedicated to Cache Files. I have tried ProRes proxies, resetting of Preferences, latest os and app updates etc. etc. etc. I have one client that requires me to work in FCP, which is also lightning quick so I cannot understand why Premiere Pro is so slow. I used to work on an ASUS Gaming laptop with much lower specs and Premiere was stable, quick and buttery smooth! The experience on Mac however is aweful, and I have come accross multiplke threads online stating the same issue but no answeres. I'm hoping someone here or from Adobe has some advice for me?
