Premiere Pro waveforms not working in both 2025 and 2026

I started a new project in PP 2026 and when i put clips in the timeline there is no waveform showing.

I tried all the suggestions from the internet and nothing happens.

So I then started a new project in PP 2025 and the same thing is happening.  It worked just fine last month but now its not.
