Project and auto saves lost

After coming back from the weekend I've found the project I've been working on has vanished, as well as the autosaves and all other data, apart from a few render files. Managed to recover the prproj files eventually with the help of some expensive software but they're all 'damaged'.

not had much help from adobe support apart from saying basically 'it's gone, forget about it'. Unfortunately it's been four weeks of work and my main client is expecting the finished product pretty much yesterday.

I've done all the usual stuff, opening in new projects, downgrading etc etc but nothing works. I don't have time to re cut.

I'm running 24.2, and have no issues with CPU/Ram or otherwise. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this wildly annoying 'thing' that adobe seem to pass off as par for the course? And hopefully a work around!

How was your project setup?

How did you use folders to organise your Project / GFX /AUDIO /etc. Did your assets also get affected?

Where was your media stored?

Did you separate cache from project files?

What were your autosave settings set to before you started?

It may well be that the original .prproj is damaged, but that wouldn't account for the disappearance or corruption of any auto-save'd projects.

Does some sort of process get run across all systems, over the weekend? PPro only deletes .prproj files when renaming them, and doesn't clear out the auto-save directory under and circumstances.

If you'd like, we can take a look at a given .prproj, and let you know whether it's corrupted or not.

Everything was stored in Docs > premiere (I know now using pp should back up to at least 30 locations but I'm used to Avid and so assumed the autosaves would do the job) There was nothing in any folder apart from the few render files in 'video previews' (.PRV).

I spent £75 to get back my damaged files from Wondershare, which for one use and for an unsuccessful result, I consider expensive.

I've tried importing all of the recovered auto saves and the the main project, importing just sequences, importing the whole project and importing as a shared project. I've tried downgrading and opening in 23.0 as well as opening in beta. Comes back as damaged every time.

What happened to the volume(s), on which the .prproj files and "other data" (???) were stored?

What expensive software recovered the .prproj files?

When you say 'nothing works'...are you able to import sequences from your damaged .prproj files, at all?
