Prores Raw decoding issue

As far as I know, this is a fairly old problem that has not  been solved yet. I have re-read all the forums, reviewed dozens of videos on YouTube, but I am not even one step closer to solving or at least understanding the problem.

The system configuration:
Windows 10/11

AMD Ryzen 5600x

AMD Radeon 6650xt

It is noteworthy that prores raw managed to run on the same system with a twelve-year-old graphic card AMD Radeon HD7950. RAW 5.8k was added to the Timeline and worked perfectly

Hi All,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have significantly improved ProRes RAW support in the latest Beta builds (26.5 onwards), and have also addressed several long-pending issues on Windows systems, especially on AMD CPU/GPU configurations.

Please try the latest Beta build and let us know how it behaves on your setup. We would greatly appreciate your feedback from the Beta builds.

More details are available in this forum post:
https://community.adobe.com/announcements-732/new-in-beta-improved-prores-raw-support-1561616

While we do not recommend using Beta versions for production workflows, the Beta installs separately from the release version and can safely be used for testing the fixes.

Please let us know how things look on your end after testing the Beta build. We sincerely appreciate your patience, continued support, and everyone who helped highlight and investigate these issues.

Thanks,
Mayjain

Would be nice if Apple's new ProRes RAW simply worked ... and for so many, it's problematic.

For Pr users, some like me can work with it. I'm on a PC, and have no trouble. But the only "raw" control is essentially a gain slider, rather limited compared to ArriRAW or BlackMagicRAW.

But for some reason, many PC users can't get the thing to work at all.

Of course, if you use Resolve, there isn't any way to work with ProRes RAW. Period.

And from comments by the BM forum staffers, ain't gonna be one. Period.

So yea, Pr barely works with it for some, Resolve not.  At. All.

Ain't a great situation.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
