Relink media as Shortkey

Link Media shortkey/shortcut does not work. Only when doing it manual with your mouse it works. This happens since a particular update in version 25. I am using version 26.0 now. 


OS system: Mac

Steps to reproduce: just set a shortkey (for example command + L) on relink media and you will see it does not work.

    Welcome to the Premiere forums and sorry you've been experiencing issues. What macOS version are you on?

    Do you usually try to relink offline media within the Timeline panel/Sequence? Does the shortcut work if you try to relink from the Project panel instead?

    Hi Dani, 

     

    I am using a Macbook M1 Max, software is version Sequoia.

    It actually works when linking files in the project panel itself, but the timeline doesn’t work doing this.

    Have you been migrating preferences from previous versions ​@Jarah Gartener?

    Something to try: In the Keyboard Shortcuts window, first Save As whatever custom keyboard preset you have, and then select Adobe Premiere Default from the Preset dropdown, remap Link Media with the shortcut you want, and try again?

    If that does not work, have you tried resetting your preferences (make a backup first)? You can do so at launch by holding down a modifier key like ‘option’, and selecting ‘Reset app preferences’ in the Reset options window.
