"Replace with Clip.. from source monitor" with source sequence only inserts nest (despite button toggled off)

Situation is following:
I have a sequence open and another one in the source monitor as source sequence.

The nesting of sequences is toggled off and normal insert inserts the selected video/audio tracks instead of the nest.

I want to replace a clip with part of the source sequence:

  • I highlight the clip I want to replace in the sequence
  • I set in/out in the source sequence
  • I hit the key combination for "Replace with Clip.. from source monitor (Match frame)"

What I expect to happen:

  • the clip gets replaced with the patched video track

What happens:

  • the clip gets replaced as nest (with all video tracks)

it seems like the button for nested sequence import isn’t working with that command.

I’m did ask this myself for some hours now. It looks like they working on something. It’s not just you, I have the same problem. (maybe they wanted to close the Animate community instead after yesterday’s announcement… just a joke)

    Hi @athletic_fact6385
Welcome to the new Adobe Premiere community. Thank you for taking the time to report a problem. It would help us if you could use the link " How to Report a Problem," which provides steps to provide more information that can help us identify the issue.

    Here to help.

    Sorry, forgot the basic information:

    Premiere v26.0

    Win 11 25H2

Or do you mean I should use the exact same form as in the link?

Video format and GPU shouldn’t be interesting in that case as it is not a video content related issue.
