❗ RTX 4060 Ti overheating and freezing since latest Premiere Pro update

Hi,
Since updating to Premiere Pro v24.5 or v24.6, my RTX 4060 Ti is hitting 85°C+ and causing freezes and crashes — only with Premiere.

My setup is strong (i9-10850K, 40GB RAM, 5 screens, proper cooling), and no other software shows this issue.

Please escalate this urgently — the problem seems related to GPU acceleration in the latest version.

Correction: I made a mistake in my previous message — the version I'm using is Premiere Pro 25.3.0 (Build 84), not version 24. Thanks for your understanding!

Hi @NMSTV 0635813952tl3r,

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums and sorry you're experiencing issues. Let us know if @Peru Bob's recommendation fixes the problem. We need a few more details to try to help further, please see How to Report a Problem.

Is this happening right as you open Premiere Pro, or is this specific to a project or file types? Do you see any processes happening at the top right in the Progress Dashboard?

Are you getting a crash dialogue box with the crashes, and if so have you sent any reports with your email added?

Premiere Pro is currently on version 25.3. Have you been able to try this latest update and are you seeing the same issues?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani

Have you tried updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site? If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of a Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).
