Scrolling over certain parts of clips in timeline causes me to no longer be able to skim timeline or play video

Editing 4k videos from iphones, some clips are different specs than others. While editing this project, every time I scroll over a specific part of 2 of the clips, I’m immediately no longer able to scroll through my timeline or play video. In addition, after uploading certain videos the audio has uploaded but it will only play certain parts. No matter how many times I reupload the files that seem to be causing the issue, it persists. I’ve restarted premiere, restarted my computer, and started a new project entirely. Starting a new project helped with the audio issue but nothing else. I’m on macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 and Premiere version 26.5.0 (Build 99)

      Welcome to the Premiere Forums. Sorry to hear about this playback issue. To confirm, are the 2 clips that are initiating the issue 4K HEVC files with a .mp4 extension? Are there any other effects applied to those clips or layers on that area of the timeline? Did you have this issue in a previous version of Premiere? Lastly, would you be willing to share a .CSV file of your timeline? Screenshots of the Media file Properties is also very helpful.
