Scrolling through timeline sometimes doesnt work in macos (now both on touchpad AND with a mouse)

Sometimes when I try to scrub through a timeline or a video , the program doesn’t register that I am holding down a left mouse button and only clicks and the “time cursor (the blue point on the timeline yknow)” on the timeline doesn’t move with the mouse. This problem initially started with a touchpad control, but now it sometimes happens with a mouse. Not that often, but it happens to a point when it becomes quite annoying.

I only have a problem on my MacBook Air M5 with 24GB memory and 512 GB of storage. I am runnign version 26.3.2

Hello @Matyáš33500029ned3 ,

Welcome to the Premiere Forums. Thank you for providing your M-chip and Premiere version in your bug report. It also helps to know what Operating System you are running, for example Tahoe 26.6.2

In this case knowing the type of mouse you’re using and what settings you have for your timeline can help us try to replicate the issue in house, which gives us our best chance to identify and fix it if it’s an issue with Premiere.

If you could share a screenshot of the window below and provide any other details about your mouse and timeline, that could be helpful.

Hoping to help,

Amy
