Slow exporting J2K sequence files in Premiere 26

I have very slow exporting using a J2K export plugin in Premiere Pro 26 under Windows 11

Previous version of Premiere Pro (25) works as always.

As a example, a encoding of a feature film that will take bout 6 hours in Premiere Pro 25, Premiere Pro 26 says 14 hours!.

The author of the plugin says to me that "That's strange. Since the plug-in hasn't changed, it sounds like a Premiere bug to me."

The plugin is a free one you can download and test it in this website:

Hi again!. Well, I have done a in depth test and I have found that the J2K export plugin is NOT the culprit. Is the color conversion plugin I use from the same website, called “DCI CONVERTER”

I attach several screen captures with/without color correction with that plugin and the times expected to render in 2025 and 2026 version, also the CPU-GPU usage.

    Yes, of course, here is:

    Issue :

Slow rendering times when export to .J2K sequence files in Premiere 26.0.1

    Steps to reproduce:

Using the free plugin J2K export for Windows from the website www.fnord.com, as simple as that.

    Expected result:

I have using that plugin for YEARS across multiple versions of Adobe Premiere and it export at the exact times always, but in the last version of Adobe Premiere (26.0.1) it slow down the times of export.

    Actual result :

The times are slower about two-three times.

    Adobe Premiere Pro version:

    Premiere 26.0.1

    Operating system:

    Windows 11 x64

    GPU driver version (Windows only):

591.74 Studio version (Nvidia RTX 3060)

    Video format:

The source material was a Prores 422HQ at 4K resolution. The times are independient of the codec

    Comparative information:

Affect all type of projects, files and formats.
