Some sort of issue with newest nvidia driver and the latest premiere

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums and giving us those details about your playback/export issues on. I saw you were having issues on XF-AVC footage and mentioned canon c50 & c70. ​May we request a sample file for both your c50 and c70? Happy to DM you our Dropbox upload link for that.

I saw you mentioned as well down in comments that the issue fixed by rolling back your Nvidia drivers, could we get more specifics on the version/build driver you’re using and which helped?

@Piers27993239ra3u I saw you mentioned that issue particularly with mxf files shot on the Sony FX6, and working on 5 year old Dell laptop with Nvidia graphics/1 year old Asus NUC Performance (5070 mobile). May we request a sample file of your FX6 MXF for further troubleshooting? I’ll also DM you our Dropbox upload link for this.

It sounds as though you both might be using v26.5 Premiere as well, but just to confirm on a few details if you could:
1) Are you in v26.5 Premiere or if not, which version/build of Premiere you’re seeing this issue in?
2) Is this happening in all your projects, just some, or if you open new one with a few sample clips, is it still there? Reading the comments seems as though it is affecting other projects.
3) if using Mac let us know what kind and which macOS, or if PC, are you on win11/10 and what driver version and build?
4) Last working version of Premiere where playback/exports were behaving as expected?

I also wanted to make you aware of this Known Issue we’re tracking as this sounds somewhat familiar. See below:

The current temporary workaround is working in v26.3.2, and we’re still gathering user specs and details on what is working for them. 

If you are indeed experiencing that same above issue, I’d like to merge this post there if that’s alright. Nothing will be lost, it just gets all the feedback in one spot for the engineers.

Can confirm rolling back to the previous version fixes the issue.

Have the exact same issue. One on a 5 year old Dell laptop with Nvidia graphics, and one on a 1 year old Asus NUC Performance (5070 mobile). Started with the latest premiere pro update within the last few days
