Spell Checker in Premiere Pro not working at all

Spell Checker in Premiere Pro not working at all when reviewing captions in the text function. Despite newer versions in both premier and macOS coming out the problem continues. Help?

    Welcome to the Premiere community. Are you spell-checking in English? And in the text panel, are the mispelled words not showing up with an underline? If you attempt to right-click on the word that is misspelled, does it give you a pull-down menu with words it could be? I will log this because I can reproduce the behavior on Mac, where the mispelled word is not highlighted in the Text graphics panel.

    I edit and spellcheck  in English. In the text panel no red lines under any misspelled words. I tried changing to other languages turning it on and off and nothing seems to work. I have re-installed the application (but saved preferences). I did the latest updates on both my OS and the application. It won’t work on any projects I have in production.

    It looks like this was fixed in the new version of Beta v26.2. If you have some time try to make a new project and test the spell check out in beta 26.2 to see if it is performing as expected. Right now the workaround for this is right click misspelled words you recognize and use the drop down word selection to correct them. Now  I know it is frustrating not to have one of your basic tools working as it should so we will try to ge thtis working soon. If it is absolutley imperitive that you have this working right now there is of course beta 26.2 availble. We will update you when it is fixed in a future Preimere release.
