The auto transcribe feature is cutting off the beginning and ends of sentences

Have Premiere transcribe a clip and then make cuts manually. If the cut is close to a word at the end or beginning of a clip then sometimes it will remove that word from the transcription even though I can still hear the full word clearly.

This has only been a problem recently and the transcriptions were nearly perfect before the past few updates.

If this sensitivity is intentional then it should be fixed because it’s important in short form content to leave very little dead space between sentences/clips

The screen recording is very helpful; I see what you mean.

I wonder about it being out of sync. Are there only the 2 instances of the problem, or are all cuts off in some way?

Something is wrong: if the word is in the audio, you would expect that it would remain in the transcript. But I did a quick test (PR 26.2 on Win 11), and I get correct results using the autoselect from the transcript tab or selecting in/out in the timeline and using extract or using ripple delete.

Same issue here that feature is completely broken on Premiere. we are back in the old days when we have to cut manually. So much for the AI of this program… The latest update is CRAP. Not even the latest Studio Drivers fro Nvidia solves the many issues this program is having.

ERROR DE ADOBE , disculpa que escriba este mensaje para escribir un reporte mio personal , pero no encuentro como crear mi propio reporte y no quiero perder tiempo y si con esto puedo aportar algo , mejor , Me e tenido que ir de adobe premiere porque no tienen el sistema oscuro bien hecho para qindows , ni siquiera el soporte tecnico de windows y despues tambien el soporte tecnico de adobe , los dos an controlado mi ordenador windows 11 para intentar resolver el problema y definitivamente me an dicho que esto es un fallo de la aplicacion , aqui dejo la foto para que se vea el problema , por muchas opciones que pongas en modo oscuro , la barra esta de herramientas SIEMPRE se queda en blanca , y esto para el trabajo a largo plazo y los que tenemos molestias visuales , es algo inproductivo claramente , espero que lo solucionen y con este mensaje pueda llegar a alguno de los que tienen el control , o si tu mismo que estas leyendo esto puedes copiar y pegarlo en un nuevo reporte te lo agradeceria y harias un bien por las personas con sensibilidad a la luz

What version are you in? How are you cutting manually? Using the automatic in/out in the transcript tab?

I tested on a single clip in PR 25.6.4, 26.0.2, and Beta 26.3.0.58. I used the automatic in/out to lift (not extract) so it left the first word or the clip and then the last word. All versions produced identical results.

The continuing issue for me is that such cuts can have sound clipped, and there is no control over whether to add space. You can adjust the cut the add back a bit of the audio, without affecting the transcript.

@mattchristensen1,

The lift/extract buttons and shortcuts are not working in the Transcript tab in the Beta build 58. I’m off to pickleball and little time later to file a bug report!

Thanks for the reply. I uploaded a video to show an example.
I’m on version 26.2 and I cut after the transcript was generated by using the ripple cut tool on the timeline. I didn’t cut anything directly from the transcript.
