The brand new update - 26.2, when working with growing files - only imports the audio - does not recognize the video.

We tried every setting, reset, empty cache, re-install etc.  And it still only imports audio only on growing file.   It only imports the video once the growing video is wrapped. 

We had to revert back to 26.0.2 (build 2) version to make this work for us again.

(it was a ProRes 422 Proxy .mov file if that info is helpful).

Would love this to get fixed for the next version.  Cheers!

      We have applied a fix in public beta.  Please try beta version 25.6.0 build 31 or later and let us know if this issue is resolved.

      As far as I can tell all the problems I’m seeing are related to MOV.  If anyone is seeing problems with MXF, please let us know.  This really helps us narrow down the problem and find a fix.  Thanks.

      Thanks.  Are you are using the DV Straus plugin and bringing things in that way?  Is that .mov ProRes?

      Francis from Adobe here.  I have heard reports from other customers that sound like the exact same issue.  ​@Edman6796 ​@IanB_360 ​@jbellomo can you tell me what software / hardware appliance you are using to record the growing files.  Another customer reports this problem using Tools On Air.

      LATEST PREMIERE, i used to be able toinport the contents of a .cmf folder from a GV Stratus server.

      ​@jbellomo thanks for the quick reply.  Can you tell me what specific video format you are recording - the files inside the cmf folder?  I assume MXF Op1a, but want to confirm.  Thanks

      It changed with the new video, audio and video/audio on the source viewer. Now coincidently Resolve has the same settings and it would not import cmf files. Other than that Adobe keeps on building on older code and it is getting more buggy on each update, this was one of the buggiest ones I ever had. I have to to recreate sequences , text layers because ones from previous versions would not work.

      On ours even if the file is not growing it still only imports audio.

      Ian at Adobe reached out on DM and I shared more details and they recognize it as a bug and will work on getting it fixed.  For the time being, uninstall and install the previous version.

      Thank you for taking the time to report a problem. The details you provided are already helpful.  If you could just include a few more details, that would help us identify the issue more quickly. 

      • Steps to Reproduce: A numbered list of the exact steps needed to replicate the issue.
      • Screen Recording: If possible, include a screen recording showing the issue.
      • Operating System: Specify Windows or macOS, along with the version.
      • GPU Driver (Windows only): Please let us know your video card driver version. We recommend updating to the most recent version; for NVIDIA users, we strongly recommend the Studio version of the driver.
      • Video Format: If the issue relates to playback or export, please specify the format (and ideally share a sample video).

      Helpful Context 

      • Does it affect all projects or only some?
      • Does it affect new, empty projects?
      • When did the problem first begin?

      Hiya,

      Our show that we were working on has finished over the weekend, but I’ll try and add some more helpful info here:


      Computer:

      Apple Mac Studio M1 Ultra 128GB Memory, 64-Core - OS  Tahoe,.

       

      Steps I took to bring in the ProRes Proxy .MOV growing file from Softron record only brought in the waveform audio.  

       

      We also had a backup .mov ProRes Proxy .MOV coming from Blackmagic Hyperdeck that gave the same waveform import.  

       

      As far as steps.   Tried dragging it in, using media browser and also file-import into the project window.   None of those worked.  It only worked when Reverted back to the previous version.

       

      It affected the current live project we were working on over the weekend.  

      It affected new / empty projects yes.  Even after doing full resets.
