The Effects workspace is now a copy of the Color workspace

Previously, the Effects workspace placed the Effects panel on the right hand side of the screen. As of a couple of versions now, the Effects workspace is almost(?) exactly the same as the Color panel, with Effects in the same panel group as Project.

Please revert the Effects workspace to its original setup.

    Hello @Iain__Anderson

@Ann Bens and you are both correct. Currently the Effects and Color are identical save for Effects pulling your ECP to the forefront and Color pulling up your Lumetri Scopes. You can make changes to either and “Save Changes to this Workspace.”

I believe this is more a Feature Request, but do wonder what differences do you want between these workspace? Are there panels you feels are now missing from one Workspace or another?

May I move this to feature requests so that it can gather votes?

    Thank you,

    Amy

I’d definitely class this as a bug. The release from six months ago had a totally different position for the Effects panel, and even if new panels have been added, the Effects panel needs to be obvious and easy to find in the Effects workspace.

The main change is that the Effects panel was in the position on the right, but there two groups instead of one, and several other panels in there too:

I’ve attached the 25.5 and 26.3 Effects workspaces’ layouts so you can see the massive differences. It’s very unlikely this was an intentional change, someone just accidentally saved the Color workspace over the old Effects workspace.

For now put the panel where you want it and save it as a custom workspace.

Yes, it’s easy enough to work around, but it’s a real pain when teaching a class full of students how to use effects and the Effects workspace is broken. :)

The All Panels workspace is the best alternative for now.

I dont think its broken but rather been changed. As over time several new panels have been added.
