Transcribe premiere in French

All the answers in that post are wrong, misleading, or unlikely to correct your problem. Please post a screenshot where you cannot re-transcribe; show the whole UI. 

When you say you do not have English: you have the dropdown for language and it is empty except for English? Please post a screenshot.

I don't know where can i found download the language pack.

I looked at all active tabs on text panel but i can't find anything...

After the October 2025 update, Premiere Pro sometimes loses extra transcription languages (only English shows). To fix it:

1. Re-install or download the French language pack from the Text → Transcript panel.

2. Reset transcription preferences and set French as default.

3. Use “Generate Static Transcript” to regain the language choice.

4. Re-transcribe source clips, not the whole sequence, if it’s text-based editing.

5. Try “Ignore Transcript” then re-transcribe.

6. If that fails, create a new project/sequence or reinstall Premiere.
