Transcribing Sequence says no dialogue found even when there is very clean dialogue

I tried to transcribe a sequence and keep getting the no dialogue found error. The audio is at a good volume and it is very clean as I used the adobe podcast tool. I select the audio in my timeline go to the text window and select transcribe sequence. I get the no dialogue found error. I tried it again on a sequence where I had successfully transcribed and added captions. I received the error again. I uninstalled and reinstalled premiere pro and still have the issue. Also tried changing the sound to mono. No luck.

For me and some of my colleagues (whenever this occurs), the fix is to transfer all data from the ‘corrupted’ sequence onto another. Possibly in a new project as well.

The one issue we’re dealing with that doesn’t seem to be noticed, is that in some montage sequences (which definitely includes clips that hold transcriptions), the ‘Ignore transcriptions’ option is greyed out. If you open up the transcription panel and you scrub through the timeline, you can clearly see some clips still have transcriptions attached. I’m wondering if this is a bug, or if the timeline has ignored them already somehow (working on 26.6.3, but I think this has occurred ever since 2025 - maybe even from the beginning).

All videos put into the sequence returned the same error when trying to transcribe. "No dialogue found." Is there any fix for this?

    Hi everyone,

We’re investigating a similar issue & have made improvements in the latest Beta. Would you mind trying the latest Beta version to see if it’s working properly? You may refer to this link to learn more about the Creative Cloud Beta Program.

    Thanks,

    Hi everyone,

We’re sorry about the poor experience. We’re investigating this issue. Could you please confirm if rolling back to v26.0.1 helps?

    Thanks,
    Sumeet
