Premiere Pro v 26.5.0 build 99

Mac Studio Ultra M1. SEQUOIA 15.7.9

This problem began with the updating of Premiere Pro in early September 2026.

Edits can be made to a layer but will arbitrarily revert upon altering the next parameter. Saving, restarting, locking layers does nothing.

This issue makes the type tool virtually impossible to use.

Please fix now.

Welcome back to the Premiere Forums, sorry to hear about this issue. We do need more information to diagnose and Stan is correct that a screen recording of this issue would be incredibly helpful.

Are you on automatic updates? Can you confirm that this issue began when upgrading from 26.3.2 to 26.5? Does this issue happen in a new project with new graphic layers? Are you adjusting layers in the ECP or the Properties Panel? Does reverting back to 26.3.2 resolve this issue?

I’m also wondering if you would consider upgrading your OS to the latest version and see if that resolves the issue? I would recommend making a Time Machine Backup first so that you can easily revert back if need be.

Hopefully we can identify what’s causing this. I have not experienced this yet, so I’m hoping some more information will fill in the blanks so I can get a reproduction of the issue in house to pass off to our engineers.

I am not on auto updates. I need to redo the screen recording. I will get it to you. The issue began a few days ago after I executed the most recent update, no question about that.

Problems are occurring to changes made in the ECP and I believe in the program window as well. I am adjusting scale and position parameters.

This is an old continuous-use project with hundreds of typographic file templates. The bug happens to all of the typographic files I’ve been working on since the bug emerged. It happens in multiple projects. It happens to old graphics layers.

I usually have to redo each edit 2 or 3 times and save each time and eventually the changes stop undoing themselves. I monitored the History panel and I do not see changes rolling back in that panel with each edit reversal. It doesn’t seem to log the parameter edits or reversions during these ‘bug episodes.’

When saving and closing the project, I would see the typographic elements reverse themselves right before the project window closes. Upon reopening, sometimes the change is still reverted and sometimes it isn’t.

I won’t be updgrading my desktop OS imminently but I can try it on my laptop. Though that machine is having some Mac Hardware issues of its own so I’m not sure how quickly I can do that.
