UXP Plugin Premiere Pro – “Host Application specified is not available” Error, Plugin Load Failed

Hi everyone,

I’m developing a UXP plugin for Premiere Pro, but when I load it using UXP Developer Tool, I get the error:

Plugin Load Failed. Host Application specified is not available. Make sure the host application is started.

Details:

  • Manifest "host" entry is set to "app": "PremierePro"

  • Premiere Pro is open and running when I load the plugin

  • Tried restarting both Premiere and UXP Developer Tool multiple times

  • Uninstalled and Installed Premiere Pro and UXP multiple times and rebooting the sistem
  • Verified Premiere Pro version meets minimum version in manifest

  • Plugin does not load or show up inside Premiere

  • Works with Photoshop and InDesign
  • My device is an Macbook M4 14" with Silicon CPU

Questions:

  • Is there a known issue with UXP and Premiere Pro for plugin loading?

  • Are there special steps to “connect” UXP Developer Tool to Premiere Pro?

  • Could it be a manifest config or permissions issue?

  • Any debugging tips to fix the “host not available” error?

Thanks in advance!

Currently, only Premiere Pro Beta builds support UXP plugins.
